What is the formula for calculating how high your credit limit should be? And by 40000 I'm referring to all credit cards, not just one. Although it would be interesting to know how much you have to earn to get one credit card with a 40K limit.|||I have a Amex Black with no limit.

He does it all the time.
Of course he doesn't carry the balances long, either do I.
40k limit should be no problem if you have a really good income...
