I have been faithfully paying y bill on time each month. Why haven't they offered to raise my credit limit yet? Should I pursue them? How should I go about doing this?|||call them and ask.聽 these days they won't automatically raise your credit limit unless you are super golden:聽 as in you've been with them a long time and you buy often and pay off the card.聽 If you pay your card off monthly--as in you don't run a balance then they will increase your credit w/o asking to encourage you to purchase more so you will run a balance and they can make money off of you.
If you're just paying your minimums then you're showing them you that you're probably living outside of your means and they're already making money off of you.聽 they don't want to encourage you to spend more because they don't want to turn the account over to a collector because you can't pay.|||Lol...you can't "pursue" them, they don't have a legal obligation to raise limits. Unless you've been living under a rock, credit limits are now few and far between. If you've ever been late or had a card for less than 5-6 years you may not be getting one for a while.|||Look on their website to see if there is somewhere to click to raise your credit limit. If not, you may call them on the telephone and politely ask them if they are willing to raise it. They are not required to do so.|||are you paying it in full? If not, that may be the problem. Either way you may still have to request a credit limit increase. Some of the sub prime cards such as first premier bank will charge a pretty hefty fee if approved.|||Call the credit card company and let them know you are going shopping or making a big purchase for that day, and they will raise your limit for the day.|||You have to request that.|||It's simple. Just call customer service and request that.
